Athelflaed -- Deep in the cool Elven domain of Lothlorien, precisely one hundred and fifty years ago, a legend began as a small, golden haired child was brought into Middle-Earth. Born to a human mother and an elven father, Flaed has been alone all her life. Her father disappeared just after her birth, and her mother was brutally murdered when she was still a young child. Being half elf and half human, most people think her an abomination. She was hated, even as a child, and several people and other creatures have tried in vain to kill her. Because she grew up with no one to love or care for her, she is somewhat standoffish, blunt and rude. But deep down she is a sweet, caring, loving individual. She ages slowly, like most elves, and only appears to be about 26, but in reality she is 150. When she was about 80 or so, she stumbled across a young elf prince by the name of Legolas Greenleaf. He took her in and they have been best friends ever since. But could she be... falling in love with him? Then the War of the Ring came, and Legolas became part of the Fellowship. Flaed rode to Helm's Deep and fought with Rohan in the War of the Ring, but that didn't win her much respect, so she journeyed back to Mirkwood with Legolas. There, while on a solitary walk in the forest, she comes across none other than the Jewel and takes it upon herself and her willing companions to purify the jewel and bring peace to Middle-Earth -- for good.

Legolas Greenleaf
Legolas Greenleaf is the Elven prince of the beautiful forest country of Mirkwood. He lived a somewhat happy, yet almost sheltered life in the castle, ruled by an overprotective father, whom was the king. He spent his childhood and adolescence training in archery and swordsmanship. Though since his father was always so guarded, Legolas believed he would never put the tactics he learned to good use. Just when he thought his life was at a standstill, he came across the half elven, half human woman named Athelflaed. He didn't care about her parentage, and he found her presence endearing. Something about her sparked something within in and he took her in, cared for her, befriended her and soon found himself... falling in love with her? But soon the war of the ring came to Mirkwood and Legolas was called to the Fellowship. He was reluctant to leave his dear friend at first, for she was riding to Helm's Deep, but he knew it was something he had to do. He was relieved to see her alive and only slightly wounded after Sauron was defeated, but his worry instantly came back when she found the jewel. Now he vows to stay by her side no matter what.

Never fear, Gryffin's subplot thing is here! xD

Gryffin Greyson
Not a lot is known about Gavin. His family somehow either abandoned him or died, leaving him with his own troubles to deal with. Sooner or later, though, like every orphan, he learned the ways of street-fighting and pick-pocketing—or rather, the benefits and doubts of them. Reckless and mischievous, he often caused trouble as a child, stealing from merchant’s fruit carts, hopping around from one place to another, thus giving him the infamous reputation and nickname as “Gryffin” for his mysteriousness. It was then that Suri Tachi, a half elf, found him, cold and alone, in a nearby cave. Feeling a bit sorry for Gavin, she took him under her wing, teaching him the proper ways of fighting. Still, his amateur, child-like behaviour got in the way, and he was persistent on learning his own fighting style. And so he did—in the middle of the night, Gavin ran off, secretly betraying the Light Side, where Gavin died in the flames of Mount Doom, and Gryffin was born. Now, darker times arrive, and Gryffin will stop at nothing to defeat his sister and the people and worlds around her.

I dunno if we were supposed to use our history or not, but... yeah.
